How is Speed Developed?

Speed is a complex process that is controlled by the brain and nervous system (the neuromuscular pathways). For athletes to increase speed, the muscles must fire faster, so, the brain and nervous system must be taught to handle faster movement. First, technique must be taught and learned. Moving faster requires executing correct firing order of the motor units. These motor units and neuromuscular pathways make faster movement possible.

The Program

Stretching, Core Strength, Running Technique, Acceleration, Stride Frequency, Over-speed/Resistance Running, and Plyometric Training are all part of the program to put you on the course of speed enhancement.

Why Speed and Agility Training?

Baseball and Softball are games of inches. Improve your first step and quickness and get that ground ball or beat out that throw that you have just been missing! Speed and Agility training can improve your game and give you and your team that extra edge needed to win more games. Hundreds of athletes are incorporating this training into their training routines. Why shouldn't’t you?
